We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a well-established regional construction contractor based from their Derby office.
This is a full-time, office-based position, supporting projects across the Midlands region. The business delivers a diverse portfolio of construction schemes valued up to £20 million, operating across the education, commercial, care home, industrial and leisure sectors. Renowned for its collaborative approach and commitment to quality, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering projects to the highest standards.
The Role
Working closely with project and design teams, you will take ownership of all project documentation, ensuring information is managed accurately and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing all project documentation through the Viewpoint document management system
* Maintaining strict document control procedures and version control processes
* Uploading, distributing and tracking drawings, specifications and technical documentation
* Managing transmittals and ensuring all documentation is issued to the correct stakeholders
* Coordinating information flow between project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients
* Logging and monitoring RFIs, design information and document revisions
* Supporting project teams to ensure information is readily accessible and up to date
* Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards
* Assisting with the setup and administration of project document control systems
* Providing general administrative support relating to project documentation as required
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a Document Controller role within the construction industry
* Essential experience using Viewpoint
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
