This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team within a leading accident repair operation. Our client is recruiting on behalf of their on-site bodyshop and is offering a highly competitive package for a Vehicle Damage Assessor.
You will be responsible for completing accurate vehicle damage assessments and supporting the repair planning process using Audatex and industry best practice.
Benefits of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Competitive basic salary of up to £39,600 (dependent on experience)
OTE up to £44,000 (dependent on basic salary)
42 hours per week
Work within a well-regarded, established accident repair business in Glasgow
Opportunity to liaise closely with parts and internal teams to support accurate repair planning
Ongoing support within a professional on-site bodyshop environmentDuties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Conduct detailed inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage
Document vehicle condition accurately with reports and photographs
Evaluate repair estimates and determine necessary repairs
Use Audatex to produce clear, detailed damage documentation
Communicate assessment findings effectively to customers, insurers, and repair teams
Review repair estimates for accuracy and completeness
Identify any additional damages requiring attention
Ensure assessments comply with industry standards and safety regulations
Provide recommendations for repair strategies and cost efficiencies
Maintain detailed records of inspections and all communications
Assist in post-repair inspections to verify quality standards
Support the claims process and negotiations as requiredRequirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator within an accident repair environment
Audatex experience is essential
Strong report writing skills with accurate recording of damage
Ability to communicate effectively with insurers, customers, and internal teams
Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and repair processes
