We are currently recruiting on behalf of an award-winning, family-run vehicle preparation centre in Dover for a PDI Technician. This is a structured, entry-level role for individuals with strong attention to detail and a professional attitude.
Benefits of a PDI Technician:
Basic salary up to £32,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday working hours: 07:30 to 16:30
No weekends and no overtime
Training and support provided; attitude and standards are the priority
Entry level opportunity: no formal qualifications required
Stable, high-quality working environment with a strong team cultureDuties of a PDI Technician:
Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) using structured vehicle checklists
Check key vehicle items to a retail-ready standard (including tyres, lights, wipers, fluids, and sun visors)
Identify and clearly flag any issues or faults for rectification
Support vehicle preparation work to ensure consistent quality before vehicles go on sale
Develop over time to assist with diagnostic and servicing support tasks as neededRequirements of a PDI Technician:
Strong attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach
Pride in completing work to specification, not simply completing tasks
Willingness to learn and take direction; reliable and respectful working behaviour
Previous experience in a similar preparation role is helpful but not essential
Basic workshop familiarity is beneficial; no formal qualifications are required for this PDI Technician position
