Job description:
We are looking for an experienced RAN Engineering Specialist to join our team for a 12-month contract. This role focuses on optimizing mobile radio access networks and driving process improvements through automation and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the complex interactions between coverage and capacity within the mobile radio access network.
- Implement best practices for coverage management and develop new methodologies to improve efficiency.
- Identify operational blockers and provide actionable improvement plans and solutions.
- Utilize an automation-first mindset to reduce delivery times.
- Present analytical findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in the radio planning space.
- Radio Planning & Tools:
- Strong proficiency in radio planning tools, specifically ATOLL (with a focus on Automatic Cell Planning).
- Experience in PCI/RSI planning and mobile Radio antenna configurations.
- Coverage modelling expertise across all technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G).
- Experience with propagation model ITU-528-3.
- Data & Automation:
- Experience using visualization tools such as QGIS or ARCGIS for complex data elaboration.
- Proficiency in coding (eg, Python) and GIS data analysis skills.
- Compliance: Experience with Radio network compliance, including ICNIRP and GA drawings.
