MET Technician

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy, well-established bodyshop in Castelford, West Yorkshire, for a MET Technician to join their team.

Competitive flat-rate salary up to c. £43,680 (dependent on experience)
OTE up to £50,000
Monday to Friday hours only; no weekends

Stable, secure working environment with consistent job flowDuties of a MET Technician:

Carry out mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs as required
Dismantling, fault-finding and diagnostic work
Re-assembly using new parts as required
Complete inspections and testing to ensure compliance and quality standards
Identify faults and recommend additional work where safety or roadworthiness is affected
Carry out road testing of vehicles when required, in a safe and legal manner, as instructed
Maintain clear communication on job progress and any findings requiring authorisationRequirements of a MET Technician:

Proven experience as a MET Fitter / MET Technician within a bodyshop environment
Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
Ability to fault-find and complete inspections and testing to a high standard
Good communication skills and confidence working across multiple tasks
ATA advantageous, but not essential
