Mechanical Assembly Technician Required Staines

This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing precision-engineered components and assembling them into system elements used in advanced hydraulic systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with high-value components to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble components using hand, power, and precision tools
Interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions
Ensure all parts meet required quality standards; identify and report defects
Handle components safely in line with health & safety regulations
Maintain tools, equipment, and 5S workplace standards
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support team activities
Contribute to continuous improvement, including work instructions and risk assessments
Follow all company procedures and safety requirementsSkills & Experience Essential:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong mechanical assembly skills (hydraulics knowledge desirable)
Experience with hand, power, and precision tools
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityExperience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in precision engineering or similar environment
Experience assembling high-value, low-volume componentsQualifications:

Apprenticeship or equivalent practical background (preferred)Key Competencies

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Reliable, punctual, and quality-focused
Professional communication with colleagues and customers
Computer literacy for basic communication and documentationBenefits
