Role Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator
Role Purpose
Lead and manage tendering and quantity surveying activities, producing accurate cost estimates and
ensuring effective financial control across projects while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage tenders, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (up to £5M)
Coordinate bid processes and ensure compliant, high-quality submissions
Manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and financial forecasts
Prepare interim applications, valuations, and final accounts
Negotiate with supply chain to achieve best value
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and opportunities
Liaise with stakeholders to agree tender figures and maintain relationships
Support business growth through innovation and process improvement
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Essential Criteria
HNC/Degree in Construction (or equivalent experience)
Proven estimating and quantity surveying experience (refurb & new build)
Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement, and bid management
Experience managing project financials (CVRs, forecasts, reporting)
Good understanding of NEC/JCT contracts and measurement methods
Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Full UK driving licence and CSCS card
Other Requirements
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality delivery
