Location: Newbury Area, West Berkshire
Salary: £20,740 – £21,770 Actual Salary
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Term Time Only + 5 INSET Days)
Hours: 32.5 Hours Per Week (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)

Brightstone Education Partners is supporting a thriving primary school in the Newbury area to recruit an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious school where children are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to raise pupil attainment and support students in accessing the curriculum, both individually and in groups.
The role will also involve covering classes in the absence of teachers and delivering high-quality learning experiences that help pupils achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning across the school
* Deliver targeted interventions and small group support
* Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis where required
* Assist in raising pupil attainment and progress
* Cover lessons in the absence of teachers
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Support pupils with varying learning needs
* Contribute to the wider life of the school
Candidate Requirements
The school is looking for someone who:
* Has experience working within a primary school setting
* Holds HLTA status or has equivalent experience
* Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Can work effectively as part of a team
* Is proactive, flexible, and organised
* Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
