We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to make a real difference in the lives of children across key stages 1 and 2.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA) based in Birmingham, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development in a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
Teaching assistant responsibilities
Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups across literacy and numeracy
Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom management
Providing in-class support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN / SEND)
Promoting inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and positive behaviour throughout the school day
Helping prepare classroom resources and supporting early years or KS1/KS2 activities
What we're looking for in a teaching assistant
Experience working with primary school children in a school or classroom setting (desirable)
A relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Good literacy and numeracy
A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
Knowledge or experience of SEN / SEND support is an advantage
