Higher Level Teaching Assistant - KS2 Support & Year 5 Cover - Haringey Primary School
An ambitious Primary School in Haringey is looking to appoint an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will become a key member of the KS2 team, supporting learning across the school through targeted Maths interventions and planned Year 5 class cover. This is an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who enjoys leading learning and making a measurable impact on pupil outcomes.
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will work with small groups, deliver intervention programmes, and confidently teach whole classes when required.
Key Duties of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Teaching a Year 5 class as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Delivering high-quality Maths interventions as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Supporting pupils through small group tuition
Working closely with teachers to identify learning priorities
Helping pupils improve confidence and attainment in Maths
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
