Conrad Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a respected and expanding property consultancy in the search for a talented Senior Building Surveyor to join its Hertfordshire office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take on a key role within a growing practice, leading multiple projects across Hertfordshire and the surrounding region while building strong client relationships and supporting the continued success of the business.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of projects and professional instructions, delivering high-quality surveying services to a diverse client base. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you will enjoy significant autonomy and play an integral role in the ongoing growth of the team.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing multiple projects across Hertfordshire and the wider region
Delivering refurbishment, alteration and maintenance schemes from inception through to completion
Acting as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent where required
Undertaking condition surveys, defect analysis and preparing technical reports
Producing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
Managing dilapidations and other professional surveying instructions
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards
About You
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS qualified
Proven experience within a consultancy environment
Strong project management and contract administration skills
Ability to manage multiple commissions simultaneously
Excellent technical knowledge and report-writing ability
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
Full UK driving licence
