Senior Associate Building Surveyor, North London

This is an interesting and varied role for an experienced Senior (Associate Level) Building Surveyor wanting to become involved in working for a very successful multi-disciplinary professional design consultancy. The role is working within one of our Building Surveying Teams on education, civic and public sector housing projects from inception to completion.

This role will suit a candidate with drive and ambition to be part of a successful division. Candidates must have good traditional building surveying skills and experience, and a very strong emphasis on communication skills with the ability to interface and lead projects with clients / contractors and other professionals working within an existing well-established team in the north London office. This is an excellent role for a candidate wishing to progress within a successful business, within a truly collaborative environment as a solutions provider to our clients.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Chartered Surveyor or Member of Institute of Building (MRICS / MCIOB)
Proven track record of performing in a building surveying role, with project management a key skill, particularly related to Public-Sector Housing, private landlords, and Education projects.
Full technical ability, pathology & up to date contract knowledge
Self motivated, confident, with good presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and be able to lead on specific projects as appropriate.
KEY JOB OBJECTIVES:

Full range of professional BS services.
Building long term relationships with existing key clients and new clients alike by delivering excellent service in delivering solutions for clients and projects under the direction of a Senior Manager including:

Liaising with clients in respect of technical matters.
Taking full responsibility for technical matters for projects within his/her control.
Working with in house disciplines as necessary.
Programming own work and resources available to ensure satisfactory completion of all projects and tasks.
Understanding the objectives of ensuring job profitability, and providing sufficient information to the partner in order to prepare accurate cash flow projections.
Managing and guiding the building surveyors, small technical teams as appropriate. DETAILED JOB TYPES:

Condition Surveys, planned maintenance surveys, disrepair matter & acquisition inspections of buildings.
Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
Building Defects Analysis / Pathology.
Strong Emphasis on writing specifications, contract administration and running public sector housing, civic and education projects working with JCT MW, IW, D&B & NEC forms of contract.
