About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing commercial service team covering sites across London and the surrounding counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer who is looking for long-term stability, varied commercial projects, and strong earning potential.
The successful Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance services across a range of commercial environments including offices, universities, schools, and hospitals.
This position is suited to an Air Conditioning Engineer with strong technical ability, excellent customer service skills, and a proven background in commercial air conditioning maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Working as a mobile Air Conditioning Engineer across commercial sites within London, the M25, surrounding counties, and Kent.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems.
* Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
* Servicing and maintaining a range of commercial AC equipment.
* Supporting some refrigeration-related works where required.
* Completing maintenance tasks across offices, education sites, healthcare environments, and other commercial buildings.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
* Providing excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
* Completing job reports, service sheets, and documentation accurately.
* Responding to occasional breakdowns and call-out requirements.
* Participating in a call-out rota approximately 1 week in every 6-7 weeks.
* Receiving £125 per week standby payment when on call.
* Completing call-outs with a minimum 4-hour payment at the appropriate working rate.
Experience & Qualifications Required
* Previous experience working as an Air Conditioning Engineer within commercial service and maintenance.
* Strong experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
* Proven background working on commercial air conditioning systems.
* Experience working within facilities management, building services, or similar environments is desirable.
* Minimum Level 2 City & Guilds qualification in Air Conditioning.
* Valid F-Gas qualification is essential.
* Refrigeration experience would be advantageous.
* A stable employment history with evidence of long-term commitment is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
