Accounts Administrator / Freight Accounts Coordinator - £30,000-£32,000 - Sunbury upon Thames
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilise their accounts experience within a dynamic business where freight or logistics experience would be highly advantageous.
Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of a broad range of accounts duties, with a particular focus on purchase ledger, sales ledger and the accurate processing of freight-related invoices and costs.
This role would suit someone with strong all-round accounts experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a stable and successful company.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices, including freight and shipping costs
Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control activities
Reconciling supplier, customer and freight accounts
Matching invoices against shipments, rates and supporting documentation
Investigating and resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Providing general administrative support to the finance team as required
About You:
Previous experience within an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
Ideally experience working within the freight, logistics, shipping or supply chain sector
Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and account reconciliations
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive approach
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 depending on experience
Location: Sunbury upon Thames
Hours: Full-time, office based
