Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Start date: September 2026
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, proactive and innovative Teacher of the Deaf to join a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to ensuring that deaf students are fully supported to achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality teaching for deaf students
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of individual needs
* Support students to access the curriculum and achieve strong outcomes
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
* Contribute to curriculum development and inclusive practice
* Support the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience or confidence in teaching deaf students
* Strong classroom practice and subject knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues
* High expectations of student achievement and behaviour
