The Company

Is a leading specialist healthcare construction and engineering contractor delivering complex projects across the UK. Established in 2005, they have successfully delivered over 250 healthcare projects for both NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers, specialising in technically demanding environments including operating theatres, imaging departments, sterile services facilities, laboratories, critical care environments, and major healthcare refurbishments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their expanding delivery team.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a contractor-side background in healthcare construction to lead complex Design & Build, fit-out, refurbishment and MEP-led projects from inception through to completion.

You will take ownership of multiple projects, managing client relationships, commercial performance, programme delivery, supply chain partners, and site teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Experience

Please note: Candidates must come from a contractor-led background.

To be considered, you must have experience working for a:

Main Contractor
Specialist Healthcare Contractor
M&E Contractor
Design & Build Contractor
Delivering projects within:

Healthcare
Pharmaceutical
Life Sciences
Cleanroom or Critical Environment sectors
Experience solely from consultancy, client-side estates, FM, or maintenance backgrounds will not be suitable for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects from pre-construction through to handover.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships with NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, consultants and stakeholders.
Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and resources.
Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Support bid and tender activities through technical and operational input.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery.

Ideal Candidate

Proven Senior Project Management experience within a contractor environment.
Strong track record delivering healthcare construction, fit-out, refurbishment or MEP projects.
Experience managing Design & Build projects.
Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage complex projects within live operational environments.
HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Construction-related discipline preferred.
Full UK Driving Licence.
