SEMH Teaching Assistant - Behaviour & Emotional Support**
Primary School | Full-Time | Aspire People
Aspire People are seeking a resilient and proactive **SEMH Teaching Assistant** to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support within a primary school setting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation skills, and positive relationships while supporting them to access learning successfully.
The school is looking for somebody who can remain calm under pressure and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
**Responsibilities:**
* Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs throughout the school day
* Assisting pupils to engage positively with classroom learning
* Supporting emotional regulation strategies and behaviour plans
* Working with pupils in the classroom, small groups, and when required on an individual basis
* Encouraging resilience, confidence, and positive social interactions
* Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
**The Ideal Candidate Will:**
* Have experience supporting children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours
* Have recent experience within a UK school or transferable child-focused role
* Be calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
* Have strong behaviour management skills
* Be passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
