Are you an experienced Registered Manager ready to take full ownership of a children’s home and make a lasting impact?
We are currently recruiting for a strong, confident Registered Manager to lead our clients well-established children’s residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where you will have real autonomy, the ability to shape the culture of the home, and drive positive outcomes for young people.
Location: Braintree
Salary: £45,000 – £62,000 depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the home. You’ll lead a team of approximately 15 staff, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and safeguarding are consistently delivered.
You will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, ensuring the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations, and continuously improving the service.
Key Responsibilities
Full operational management of the children’s home
Lead, develop, and inspire a team of care professionals
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and stakeholders
Drive high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people
Oversee staff performance, recruitment, and development
Requirements
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s home
Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulatory frameworks
Proven leadership experience managing staff teams
