DNA Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing children's residential care provider seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager for a brand-new children's home in Swadlincote.
This is a unique opportunity to join a service from the very beginning and play a key role in shaping a nurturing, stable, and child-focused environment for up to four children and young people aged 7-17 years.
The Opportunity
Whether you're an experienced Registered Manager looking for a fresh challenge or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in your career, this role offers the chance to build and lead a service that genuinely prioritises long-term, stable care and positive outcomes for children.
You will be instrumental in leading the home through the Ofsted registration process, building a high-performing team, and creating a warm, family-feel environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the home through Ofsted registration and ongoing regulatory compliance.
· Develop and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic home environment.
· Recruit, mentor, and lead a dedicated residential care team.
· Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
· Oversee safeguarding practices and promote positive outcomes for children.
· Build effective partnerships with local authorities, schools, healthcare professionals, and families.
· Manage admissions carefully to maintain placement stability.
· Produce high-quality care plans, risk assessments, and reports.
· Drive continuous improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
Requirements
· Minimum 2 years' experience within children's residential care.
· At least 1 year's experience in a supervisory, deputy, or management capacity.
· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
· Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted SCCIF.
· Experience preparing for or participating in Ofsted inspections.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
· Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
