TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Birmingham that is seeking to appoint a Computer Science Teacher. Rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED, the school is recognised for its strong pastoral support, modern technology facilities, and commitment to high academic achievement, creating an excellent environment for both staff and students.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Computer Science Teacher on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026. The successful Computer Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining high standards of classroom management and attainment.

The successful Computer Science Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Computer Science, ICT or relevant teaching specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching Computer Science up to Key Stage 4 / KS4

• Strong knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum

• Excellent classroom management skills

• The ability to monitor, assess and support student progress effectively

• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach to teaching
