Chartered Building Surveyor
The Company: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client, an independent RICS-registered Chartered Building Surveying practice who are expanding their team. Known for their professional yet approachable service, they support clients through the home-buying journey, delivering clear, tailored advice on residential properties across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
With a growing workload, they are now looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys client interaction and wants to be part of a supportive business that genuinely values work-life balance.
The Opportunity - In this role, you will undertake RICS Home Surveys at Level 2 and Level 3 across a variety of residential properties. You will liaise with clients before and after inspections, carry out pre-inspection desktop assessments, and complete snagging surveys on new-build homes. A key part of the role will be communicating your findings clearly and confidently, helping clients make informed decisions.
The successful candidate will be MRICS or FRICS qualified, with solid post-qualification experience in residential surveying. You will have strong communication skills, be comfortable using modern technology such as tablets and laptops, and hold a full UK driving licence. Experience in residential valuations would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
In return, you will receive a competitive remuneration package with a strong basic salary, along with a car allowance, private health insurance, paid professional membership fees, and full equipment provision. The company is committed to ongoing CPD and training, and prides itself on creating a flexible working environment where hard work is recognised and rewarded.
If you’re looking to join a growing, forward-thinking company where you can develop your career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, this could be the perfect next step
