CNC Miller
We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy precision engineering and subcontract manufacturing environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience setting and operating Heidenhain-controlled machining centres and producing high-quality components across a variety of materials. Experience with programming is advantageous but not essential.
CNC Miller - Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating 3 and 4-axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls
Manufacturing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications
Interpreting technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
Carrying out self-inspection using manual measuring equipment
Making tooling changes and offset adjustments as required
Maintaining machining quality and production efficiency
Ensuring a clean, organised and safe working environment
Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
CNC Miller - Requirements
Previous experience operating and setting CNC milling machines
Experience with Heidenhain controls is essential
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Understanding of geometric tolerances and machining specifications
Competent using manual inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic programming knowledge would be beneficial but is not essential
Must have the right to live and work in the UK
