Capstan Setter – Day Shift
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Wolverhampton for an experienced Capstan Setter to join their busy and established manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable day-shift role within a well-respected company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating capstan lathes to manufacture components to specification.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Selecting and changing tooling as required.
* Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
* Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Requirements:
* Previous experience setting and operating capstan lathes.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
* Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
