Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary setting to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from the end of August.We are keen to hear from unqualified, Level 2, and Level 3 Teaching Assistants who have relevant experience supporting children with special educational needs.
The Role
You will be based within a specialist inclusion hub, supporting pupils from Reception through to Year 6. These roles involve working closely with children who have complex and additional needs, all of whom have EHCPs in place.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
Supporting small group interventions within the inclusion hub
Working with children who may initially be on a reduced timetable
Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
Providing personal care where required
Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to deliver EHCP targetsThe Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will:
Be an unqualified, Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant with relevant SEN experience
Have experience working in SEN schools, inclusion hubs, or on a 1:1 basis
Be confident supporting children with complex needs and additional requirements
Be comfortable delivering personal care where needed
Have a patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
Be committed to supporting children to reach their full potentialWhat you'll get in return:
Paid up to £110 per day (depending on experience)
