Our client, a prominent player in the marine industry, is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a contract position. This role is ideal for individuals with specific skills in hydraulic mechanical systems and small bore pipe fitting. This exciting opportunity is available for a 2-month contract with unlimited hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing, assembling, and maintaining hydraulic systems
Fitting small bore pipes in marine environments
Conducting regular inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues
Ensuring all marine equipment is in optimal working condition
Collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently
Complying with health and safety regulations at all times
Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
Providing input for the continuous improvement of marine operations
Job Requirements:
Experience in hydraulic mechanical fitting and small bore pipe fitting
Strong understanding of marine systems and equipment
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work unlimited hours as required
Hands-on experience in a marine setting would be advantageous
