Choice Teachers are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Bury to recruit two Pastoral Leads starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming school in a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates. The successful applicants will play a key role in supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance, working closely with the wider pastoral team.

The Role
Pastoral Lead (x2 positions available)
September 2026 start
Full-time, 5 days per week
Temp-to-perm opportunity
Providing pastoral support to a designated year group
Working closely alongside the Head of Year
Supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance
Liaising with parents, external agencies and school staff
Assisting with wider pastoral duties across the school
Supportive leadership and pastoral team
The Successful Candidate Will
Have previous experience working with young people
Have experience within education, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support, pastoral support or a similar setting
Be confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships
Be able to work effectively with students, parents and external agencies
Have strong communication and organisational skills
Be committed to supporting students both academically and personally
Previous Teaching Assistant experience would be advantageous
