Electronics Engineer | Cambridge | Up to £55,000

Our client is an established, technology-led engineering organisation with a global customer base across defence, security, industrial and advanced sensing markets.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to play a key role in bringing innovative products from development into scalable, repeatable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

+Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure PCB assemblies are designed for reliable and efficient manufacture.
+Conduct DFMEA activities early in the development process to identify and mitigate design risks.
+Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, testability, and production efficiency.
+Liaise with PCB manufacturers and suppliers to understand manufacturing capabilities and constraints.
+Support electronic design activities throughout NPI projects, ensuring products are ready for build, scale-up, and customer delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

+Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
+Proven electronics design experience using PCB CAD tools such as Altium Designer.
+Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) principles.
+Experience supporting products through prototype, validation, and production transition.
+Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes, electronic integration, and production test methodologies.
