An exciting and highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced analytical chemist to support anti-doping efforts in sport. As a key member of a specialist confirmatory analysis team, you will receive potential findings from initial sports screening testing, performing further confirmatory analyses.

In this role, you will perform high-quality, legally defensible analysis of biological samples for prohibited substances by LC-MS/MS, High-Resolution Mass Spec (Orbitrap) and GC-MS. You will be involved throughout sample preparation, extraction and analysis, optimising existing methods and developing novel methods as required. You will be responsible for instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, data interpretation and the preparation of clear, evidence-based reports. Given the nature of the samples being analysed, you may also be required to provide expert witness testimony.

Key Requirements

* Minimum BSc in a scientific discipline

* ca.3 years’ LC-MS experience within regulated (ISO/GLP/GMP) industry settling

* Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and a troubleshooting mindset

* Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting results

* Able to work onsite; driving license preferred due to site access

* Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
