Smile Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Wolverhampton for a Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and continuing until the Spring Term of 2027.
The school is open to applications from both Primary and Secondary qualified teachers, recognising the varying needs, abilities, and learning profiles of the pupils within the class.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and adaptable teacher who is committed to making a positive impact on the educational journey of children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). To ensure a smooth transition, a comprehensive handover period with the current class teacher will be provided.
The Role
Full responsibility for a Year 6 class, including planning, preparation, assessment, and reporting.
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs and abilities.
Support pupils with a variety of SEND, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Work collaboratively with support staff, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies where required.
Contribute positively to the wider school community.The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in either Primary or Secondary Education.
Has experience working with children with SEND and is confident adapting teaching strategies to meet a range of needs.
Demonstrates strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
Is committed to undertaking the full teaching role and seeing the placement through to completion.
Can start as soon as possible and quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.What the School Offers
