We are looking for a Grinder to work on a permanent basis in the Oldham area.

The role is working Monday to Friday working 6am till 2.30pm and 2.30pm till 11pm.

Salary is c£33-34,200 per annnum plus 25% shift pay, company bonus, 25 days’ holiday and bank holidays, pension etc

Duties for the Grinder:

Your new role will involve the operation of manual and CNC grinding machines. Grinding experience would be preferred but full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities for the Grinder role:

* Able to set and operate grinding machines

* Use and understand technical drawings

* Able to use measuring equipment to ensure component compliance,

* Perform basic TPM on all equipment including cleaning and lubrication.

* Mentor and instruct roll grinding apprentices when required.

* Committed to continuous improvement and able to suggest improvements regarding methods, processes, and tooling.

* Apprenticeship in Engineering or similar qualification desirable;

Skills and Competencies

* Flexible

* Numerical and computer skills

* Work as part of a team

* Self-starter

* Good attention to detail

* Effective communicator

* Reliable
