Position: Gear Grinder
Location: Bury
Salary: Competitive - Dependent on Experience
We are seeking an experienced Gear Grinder to join its manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves operating and setting gear grinding machinery to produce precision-engineered components to exact specifications and high-quality standards.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a gear grinding environment and be confident working from engineering drawings while maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the production process.

Job Overview
Set and operate gear grinding machinery
* Manufacture precision components to engineering specifications
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical information
* Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met
* Monitor machine performance and report any issues
* Maintain accurate production records where required
* Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
* Work efficiently to production targets and deadlines
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Follow company health & safety and quality procedures at all times
* Work independently and as part of the wider production teamRequirements
Previous experience as a Gear Grinder is essential
* Strong understanding of precision engineering and manufacturing processes
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good problem-solving and practical engineering skills
* Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently
* Strong awareness of health & safety procedures within a workshop environmentHours of Work
Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
* Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
* 39-hour working weekSalary & Benefits
Competitive salary dependent on experience
* Full-time permanent position
* Stable working hours with early Friday finish
