Job Title: Emergency Lighting (EML) Engineer
Location: London
Employment Type: Full-time (Permanent)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Emergency Lighting (EML) Engineer to join our growing team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and fault-finding of emergency lighting systems across a range of commercial and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, and repair emergency lighting systems in line with current regulations and standards

* Carry out routine testing and inspections of emergency lighting systems

* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs

* Ensure all works are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations

* Complete accurate documentation and reports following inspections and maintenance visits

* Work independently and as part of a wider team

* Liaise with clients and site personnel in a professional manner

Essential Requirements

* Level 2 Electrical Installations (2365 or equivalent)

* Level 3 Electrical Installations (2365 or equivalent)

* Proven experience working with emergency lighting systems

* Experience in containment (tray, trunking, conduit, etc.)

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable / Preferred Qualifications

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

* Electrical Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent)

Skills & Attributes

* Strong attention to detail

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* Proactive and self-motivated approach

* Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety
