Portfolio Payroll are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator for a business based in Manchester City Centre on a permanent basis. The role is a great role for someone looking to build and develop their career in Payroll.
As a Payroll Administrator, you main duties and responsibilities are:
Deliver end‑to‑end payroll processing to strict deadlines, including high‑volume routine transactions, adjustments, corrections and special payments.
Maintain accurate employee data across payroll systems, performing validation checks and quality assurance to ensure error‑free payroll runs.
Calculate and process statutory elements such as SSP, SMP, SPP, bonuses, annual leave and other payroll‑related deductions.
Prepare payroll journals, complete monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve payroll variances in collaboration with Finance.
Handle employee payroll enquiries professionally, maintain confidentiality, and escalate complex issues when required.
Work collaboratively with HR, Finance and wider teams, supporting compliance, documentation standards and contributing to process improvements.
