Our client are a leading housing developer, with a significant pipeline of new work in Aberdeen. with a reputation for building high-quality, sustainable communities. Due to continuous growth and an exciting pipeline of upcoming developments, we are looking for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
You will manage all financial aspects of the housing developments from initial procurement to final accounts. This position offers the opportunity to take full commercial ownership of live sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage site build costs.
• Procure subcontract packages.
• Negotiate supplier agreements.
• Conduct regular site valuations.
• Process subcontractor payments.
• Produce monthly cost reports.
• Manage variation orders.
• Agree final accounts smoothly.
What experience do you need?
• Experience: Strong background working with a regional or national housing developer.
• Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent commercial qualification.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, cost control, and communication skills.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK building regulations
• Traits: Highly organized, commercially astute, and driven to maximize value.
• Travel: Valid UK driving licence for regular travel to Aberdeen sites
