We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Delivery Driver to join our team on a permanent basis. As a vital member of our organisation, you will ensure the timely delivery of essential equipment to our projects while representing Conquip professionally at all times.

The Role

Based at our main manufacturing hub in Hook, you will report directly to the Depot Manager and collaborate closely with our dedicated transport team at headquarters.

Work 10-hour shifts between 4am and 7pm, with regular hours from 6am to 4pm; flexibility around these times is essential.
Occasional overnight stays may be required (up to two per week), with a fixed night away allowance.
This is a Monday to Friday position, with weekends off.

Main Purpose of the Role

Your primary responsibility is to work within the Transport department to ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and effective delivery of all orders, whilst adhering to all driving compliance standards in a professional and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and collect Conquip products professionally, efficiently, and punctually.
Liaise with the Transport Manager to maintain a customer-focused approach at all times.
Communicate effectively with the office and customers to ensure or exceed on-time delivery targets.
Comply with all relevant legislation, including Tachograph and Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DSA) driving standards.
Maintain and promote a positive image of the Conquip brand with all customers.
Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained and meets all compliance requirements.

Key Performance Indicators

Tachograph reports accuracy
On-time delivery performance
Customer satisfaction levels
Vehicle maintenance and compliance

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Valid Class 1 driving licence
Experience with Class 2 licence vehicles advantageous
Strong teamwork skills
Positive feedback from managers
Full compliance with driving standards and regulations

Desired Personal Attributes

Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proactive, problem-solving attitude with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and take on additional responsibilities as required
