Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Northwood, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, 1 Term
Hours: 8:00am – 5:15pm
Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: £85.50-£120

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Northwood from September 2026. This is a full-time role for one academic term, providing an exciting opportunity to support pupils’ learning and development during a key stage of their education.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support classroom learning, assist pupils with their academic progress, and contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Help monitor and record pupil progress.
Maintain a positive, well-organised, and safe classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Contribute to school events and wider school life.

Requirements

Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Positive, proactive, and reflective approach to supporting learning.
