Vickers Neal Recruitment are delighted to be working with Charles Strachan Solicitors based at their offices in Redditch.

We currently have an opportunity for a secretary to support one of their Directors.

The role itself will require the individual:

JOB PURPOSE

To provide effective secretarial and administrative support to Directors and Fee Earners across all departments.

KEY TASKS

· To assist Fee Earners by providing secretarial and administrative support.

· To comply with all office procedures and policies in line with SQM/CQS requirements as referred to in the Office Manuals.

· Type all correspondence, memoranda, court documents, file notes, proofs of evidence, questionnaires, or any other document by way of support.

· To type the above from audio tape or otherwise, including copy typing.

· To set up and maintain files accurately using ALB (case management system) in accordance with practice procedures.

· To deal accurately with electronic filing systems in accordance with SQM compliance.

· To provide a courteous and professional service when attending upon clients both on the telephone and in person, where necessary accurately recording any messages and passing these on to the appropriate person without unnecessary delay.

· To make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain an up-to-date diary.

· To provide cover for lunchtime switchboard duty or man reception on a rotational basis as and when requested to do so.

· To ensure the positive representation of the Practice in all dealings with clients and others.

· To attend courses appropriate and applicable to your area of work in support of the proper performance of your job.

· To attend any departmental meetings as and when required.

· To comply with the Health & Safety policy of the practice and promote and protect the welfare of all who attend the office in accordance with said policy.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Typing 60 – 70 WPM with accuracy.

Good communication skills.

Interpersonal skills.

In order to fulfil the role, we are looking for an individual with a solid administrational background, strong general IT skills, excellent communication skills and a proactive positive manner.
