Quantum Scholars is an approved provider within Hillingdon's Alternative Provision network and is expanding its team of SEND Tutors and Learning Mentors due to continued referrals from Hillingdon Council.
This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEND Support Workers, Tutors, Youth Workers and Learning Mentors looking for greater flexibility and rewarding 1:1 work.
You will support children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education, delivering personalised tuition, mentoring and learning support to help them build confidence, engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Support is usually delivered in students' homes, with parents or carers present, although some sessions may take place in community settings or as part of a transition back into education.
The Role
Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition and learning support
Provide mentoring and emotional support
Build positive relationships with students and families
Adapt learning activities to individual needs
Record progress and provide feedback
Students May Present With
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Anxiety and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
Trauma-related challenges
Medical needs
Additional barriers to learning

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
A calm, patient and adaptable approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence working independently
A commitment to safeguarding and positive outcomes
