Quantum Scholars is recruiting SEND Learning Support Assistants to provide 1:1 educational support for students receiving Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS) provision across Wokingham and nearby areas.
This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEND Support Workers, Tutors, Youth Workers and similar professionals seeking greater flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact outside of a traditional school setting.
Working on a 1:1 basis, you will support children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education. Sessions typically take place in the student's home, with learning tailored to their individual needs and goals.
We have immediate opportunities available, with significant growth expected from September 2026 as demand for alternative provision continues to increase.
The Role
Deliver personalised 1:1 learning support and tuition
Build positive, trusting relationships with students
Support engagement, confidence and independence
Assist with literacy, numeracy and wider learning goals
Record progress and provide feedback
Students May Present With
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Anxiety and school avoidance
Trauma-related challenges
Medical needs
Learning difficulties and additional SEND needs
We're Looking For
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
Strong communication skills
Confidence working independently
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
