Opportunities have arisen for 2 Inspectors – 1 x Plant and 1 x Tank. These roles are offered on temporary to permanent basis via List Recruitment. These are pivotal roles within a Tier 1 COMAH environment, requiring sound knowledge of industry codes, standards, and site-specific applications.
Job Description
The Inspector is responsible for Inspection Planning, execution and coordination reporting to Supervisor Inspection - Lindsey.
Core Responsibilities
Within the scope of formal authorisation:
• Supervision and Mentoring of Trainee/Probationary/Visiting Inspectors
• Drafting of new and amended Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) for authorisation by the Chief Inspector.
• Performance of inspections in accordance with inspection programmes, WSE and inspection procedures.
• Completion of inspection reports and records, including turnaround status logs.
• Other inspection-related tasks as assigned by Supervisor Inspection – Lindsey or Chief Inspector.
• Implement the Inspection Services ISO17020 Management System as described in the current Manual and Procedures.
Education Requirements/Key Skills
• CIS Qualification Level 3 minimum demonstrated through formally evaluated education, training, and experience.
o Relevant engineering experience
o Experience within in-service inspection of pressure equipment, piping and/or atmospheric storage tanks.
• Currently certificated to the relevant Industry certifications, e.g. API 510, API 570, API 653 or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of fixed equipment and associated inspection activities.
• Appropriate Knowledge of Industry Recommended Practices, Codes and Standards and site-specific computer applications.
