A welcoming primary school in Rushden is looking to appoint an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about supporting their development during these important early stages of education.
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children can grow in confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy their first experiences of school.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
Assist children with their social, emotional, and academic development
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
Help create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming classroom environment
Encourage positive behaviour and support children in developing independence
Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and daily routines
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Ideal Candidate
Experience working with young children is desirable
Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Adaptable and willing to support children with a range of needs
Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
