Long Term Futures are seeking a resilient and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to work on a full time long term temporary basis. The role itself is based in the New Malden area, is classroom based in a small closed setting. EYFS qualifications would be advantageous for this. Personal care may be involved due to the nature of the work.
This role is perfect for those with EYFS and SEN experience as the role is a mixture of classroom based and 1:1 support with students within the EYFS setting.
About the Role:
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and SLT your duties will include:
* Supporting the EYFS curriculum with learning through play and phonics
* Providing 1:1 support to students with hight needs as and when required this can include personal care.
* Working in the EYFS classroom supporting students with ASD or going through diagnoses.
* Ensuring the pupils are safe and secure at all times due to the nature of EYFS students
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience supporting EYFS pupils with ASD and other associated needs.
* A creative approach to learning and the flexibility to adapt activities and strategies to meet the diverse needs of children
* A compassionate and patient demeanour, with the ability to understand and respond to the individual needs of each child.
* Reliable and committed to a long-term placement
* Level 3 EYFS qualification or TA qualification is advantageous
* Personal care experience or willingness to perform
