Our client Barnet Council is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their Urgent response Team.

This is an OT role in an Urgent Response OT team - excellent manual handling experience and working autonomously is required as it is the main part of the role.

1 day duty OT per week Urgent Response Occupational Therapy team referral criteria

We complete Occupational Therapy and Moving and Handling Risk assessments for referrals that meet the following inclusion criteria:

Moving and handling cases where there is no equipment or current equipment is no longer appropriate
High risk of physical injury to carers (e.g. Involved in inappropriate transfers)
A safeguarding concern that relates to equipment or manual handling
The client is at immediate risk of injury as they are not able to transfer safely on and off the bed, chair, toilet or walk up /down the stairs
Equipment that has been deemed unrepairable/unreplaceable by NRS and without it the person and/or their carer are at high risk of injury
A request for an increase from single to double-handed care where a manual handling assessment is required (not decreases of care)
The client has a palliative diagnosis where Continuing Health Care/North London Hospice is not involvedBenefits of working with Remedy
