Intelligence Analyst

  • Manchester - please only apply if local
  • £17.30-£20.84 per hour PAYE
  • 1-year initial contract

We are seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our team across various intelligence units. This role is crucial in providing expertise through the development and use of analytical products to assist decision-making at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct analysis at strategic, tactical, and/or operational levels using appropriate analytical tools and techniques to interpret gaps, patterns, and trends.
  • Assess threat, risk, and harm and make recommendations to support decision making, prioritisation, and resource allocation.
  • Collect and evaluate data and information to support the creation of a collection plan and the delivery of analytical products.
  • Produce and present written and/or verbal briefings to stakeholders, providing a clear and concise evidence-based understanding of the subject matter.
  • Prepare analytical evidence for submission to court, including liaison with legal staff and attending court as a witness if required.
  • Maintain awareness of innovation within intelligence to ensure the implementation of the latest techniques and tactics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships internally and externally to share data, information, and analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to Level 6 (eg, a degree with or without honours) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in collecting and evaluating large volumes of complex data/information.
  • Skilled in the use of IT packages, systems, and/or databases involved in analysing, interpreting, storing, and presenting data.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present information and provide recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to research, analyse, and assimilate large volumes of complex data and prepare concise analytical reports.
