EdStaff have an exciting opportunity for a Drama Teacher to join a successful department at a friendly secondary school in Wigan. The school welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers and provides a supportive environment for teachers to develop their existing experience or build on their teacher training as an ECT. You will be required to teach at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
The role is set to start at the beginning of the new academic year on a long-term basis.
As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high quality teaching and leading the learning environment with creativity and vision. The right candidate should be able to develop positive relationships and encourage all students to reach their full potential in the subject. You should be able to integrate efficiently into a new school and quickly settle into and contribute to both the department and the wider school community.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver the Drama national curriculum to Ks3 and 4
* Ignite creativity and confidence in students
* Contribute to raising standards and providing opportunities for all students
* Support pupils with SEND
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and safety
* Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
* Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
