As an HLTA, you will have the opportunity to lead learning activities, provide targeted intervention support and occasionally cover classes in the absence of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning across the school in line with the National Curriculum.
* Deliver planned lessons and learning activities to whole classes, small groups and individual pupils.
* Provide classroom cover during teacher absence where required.
* Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress and attainment.
* Work closely with teaching staff to support lesson planning and resource preparation.
* Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
* Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND where appropriate.
* Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Requirements
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience working within a primary, secondary or specialist school setting.
* Strong understanding of teaching and learning strategies.
* Confidence delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
