Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover) - Liverpool (Full-Time)
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school in Liverpool to recruit a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time, fixed-term (maternity cover) basis starting September 2026.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and well-established Maths department within a thriving school environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students are both challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
You will bring creativity and enthusiasm to your teaching, planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a love for Mathematics. The role requires a commitment to raising attainment and supporting students in developing confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver consistently high-quality Maths lessons
Inspire and motivate students to achieve strong academic outcomes
Differentiate teaching to support a range of abilities
Track and monitor student progress, providing targeted support where needed
Contribute to the wider life of the school and department
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths
Ability to engage and challenge learners of all abilities
Resilient, proactive, and committed to improving outcomes for students
ECTs and experienced teachers both encouraged to apply
Salary & Details
Pay Scale: MPR1 - UPR3
Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, fixed term (maternity cover)
Start Date: September 2026
Closing Date: Early July 2026
