Inclusion Base Teacher (SEMH) - September Start

A highly inclusive and welcoming primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced and compassionate Inclusion Base Teacher to join their specialist SEMH provision from September.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a dedicated Inclusion Base supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education, trauma-informed practice, and helping children overcome barriers to learning through positive relationships and tailored support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the specialist provision, supporting pupils' academic progress alongside their emotional regulation, wellbeing, and successful integration into mainstream learning where appropriate.

The Role Will Involve:

Teaching pupils with SEMH needs within the Inclusion Base
Delivering adaptive and engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Working closely with support staff, families, and external professionals
Implementing trauma-informed and relational approaches to learning
Supporting pupils' reintegration into mainstream classes where appropriate
Contributing to the ongoing development of the specialist provision

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS and have substantial experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
Have experience working within specialist provisions, nurture groups, ARPs, SEMH settings, or inclusive mainstream schools
Demonstrate a strong understanding of trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and nurture-based practice
Be confident working alongside multi-agency professionals and families
Be resilient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education
