£24.96 FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed inside IR35 or £18.25 paye
Fully office based 5 days pw in Peterlee
Contract Position, min 12months (likely to extend & be long term)
We are currently recruiting for an HR Assistant to join a busy HR team supporting a large manufacturing operation in Peterlee.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous HR administration, business support, or office administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing HR support to managers, employees, and the wider HR team
• Supporting employee onboarding activities
• Assisting with absence management administration and record keeping
• Coordinating meetings, calendars, and employee appointments
• Maintaining HR records and preparing reports
• Supporting employees with HR system queries and access issues
• Assisting with policy and procedure-related enquiries
• General HR and administrative support duties
Requirements:
• Previous administration or HR administration experience
• Strong organisational and workload management skills
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage tasks independently and use initiative
Desirable:
• Experience with HR systems such as Workday
• Experience within manufacturing or large corporate environments
Location: Peterlee (fully onsite)
Contract: 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-12:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
