We are looking for a talented Product Engineer with a background in 3D CAD to join an established engineering team in Taunton. This role offers the chance to work on varied projects, developing innovative design solutions for complex mechanical systems.
You will develop technical solutions in response to customer requirements. This will be on their standard range of products or specially designed based on new requirements. You’ll oversee technical aspects of New Product Introduction and support associated commercial, operational, and supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
* Work closely with project teams to develop robust design solutions.
* Contribute to the full product lifecycle, from concept through to manufacture.
* Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
* Provide technical input to improve processes and support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
* HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar).
* Previous design engineering experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Good understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing methods.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
